Only Two Days Left!!

Hey everyone--

First off, the answer to the last post was false because it was a quote from Atticusl not Mr. Radley.

Second, the Big Read is winding down. Our last event is tomorrow (Friday) night. Here is the low down:

What: Readers' Theatre Performance and "Atticus & Today's Lawyers" Discussion
When: Friday, April 7 at 7 pm
Where:Holiday Inn City Centre--Starlite Room (10th floor)
How much: FREE!!!

Also, the Writing Contest Winners will be announced and awarded cash prizes.

The Reader's Theatre will be very interesting and a lot of fun. This is your last opportunity to take part in the Big Read, so come on down!!

This past week of Big Read events were again a complete success!! Our book club at Zandbros on Thursday, our participation in the St. Patrick's Day parade on Friday afternoon, and our Saturday morning southern breakfast with guest speakers David Kipen and Chip Shields were all an amazing time.
The next major Big Read event is coming up on March 27 at 7 pm at the Multi Cultural Center. It will be a readers theatre produced by the local community, and following the performance there will be a discussion on race relations in Sioux Falls. It promises to be a very interesting night and i strongly encourage everyone to attend.

Three Days and Counting...

There are only THREE days left until our big kickoff!! Dont forget our first event on Friday March 10 at 7.00 at the Belbas Theatre at the Washington Pavilion. Mary Badham, who played Scout in the 1964 movie of Mockingbird, will be the guest speaker.
THE EVENT IS FREE!!!!
So come on down to meet Mary Badham and get an autograph.

Welcome to the Sioux Falls Big Read blog!

Siuox Falls, get reading! As a community, we will be reading To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
